Srinagar: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has regarded Major Leetul Gogoi with a 'Commendation Card' for his "managed endeavors" in counter-uprising operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Gogoi had snatched the features after he tied a supposed stone-pelter to his jeep as a human shield to impede the savage dissenters from focusing on his vehicle last April.

Despite the fact that the officer's activity spared the lives of his partners, he was censured via social media and different stages, which incited the Army to begin a formal Court of Inquiry into the incident.

However, the Army chief's ''Commendation Card'' for Major Gogoi has now been viewed as a sign that he is probably not going to be ensnared for the situation which the Army keeps up is as yet going on.

"Major Gogoi has been granted Chief of Army Staff's Commendation Card for maintained endeavors in counter-rebellion operations," Army representative Col Aman Anand said.

Sources said Major Gogoi was given the honor amid Gen Rawat's visit to Jammu and Kashmir a week ago.

The Army Chief's 'Commendation Card' is viewed as a prestigious honor and is given for recognized administrations and commitment to obligations.

Gogoi was authorized as a lieutenant in December 2008.
